Reviving Roots,
Shaping Our Future
"Orisirisi", a Yoruba word meaning "varieties", reflects Africa's rich diversity across arts, cuisines, languages, fashion, entertainment, and indigenous knowledge systems.
Who We Are
A Private-Sector Platform
for Pan-African Culture
Orisirisi Africa Ltd is dedicated to celebrating and revitalising African cultural values and indigenous practices. From our base in Kigali, Rwanda, we deepen collaboration among Africans, promote stronger people-to-people connections, and contribute to a more united, resilient, and prosperous continent.
Africa is a richly diverse continent, home to a wide range of cuisines, traditions, languages, art forms, entertainment and indigenous values and philosophies that underpin our education. Historically, these elements shaped the foundation of our socio-political and economic systems. However, many of them have been eroded by the long-lasting effects of colonisation and the absence of structured, socially driven systems to preserve them. The growing disconnect between Africans and their cultural heritage, including language, values, and identity, poses a significant challenge to the continent’s socio-political and economic progress. While intergovernmental and regional institutions continue to promote intra-African trade and economic collaboration, there remains a clear need for complementary, private-sector-led initiatives that foster deeper cultural connections and stronger integration among the ordinary people of Africa. This is where our vision derives from.

Voices of
the Griot
Before books, before borders, there were griots — Africa's living libraries. For millennia they carried entire civilisations in their voices: the names of kings, the movement of rivers, the songs of harvest and grief. AfriXpressions is building the digital griot: a platform where today's African artists, musicians and storytellers become the new keepers of memory, so no story is ever lost again.
An ever-growing archive of African voices, images and traditions — preserved for the next generation.
